About us

· Lyari Development Authority (LDA) was established by the Government of Sindh to oversee the development of Lyari, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.

 

· Lyari Development Authority was created by an Act passed by the Provincial Assembly of Sindh on 10th
February 1994.

 

· The two (02) Schemes, Hawksbay Scheme – 42 and Halkani Town, Scheme – 43 were transferred from KDA to LDA by virtue of THE LYARI DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY ACT, 1993.

 

· An area of 20,900 acres was declared as control area of Hawksbay Scheme – 42

 

· An area of 11,450 acres was declared as Housing and Residential Scheme – 42 by KDA in July 24, 1984.
